Johannesburg 20 December 2024 – Duxbury Networking, a premier South African distributor of advanced networking solutions, announces the availability of the multi-carrier CEL-FI QUATRA 4000e, an innovative in-building cellular coverage solution designed to transform communication in today’s digital landscape.
This active hybrid distributed antenna system (DAS) is approved for all major mobile networks in South Africa. Scalable and versatile, it provides coverage of up to 11,600 square metres per Network Unit (NU), making it the most powerful carrier-grade solution for eliminating indoor cellular coverage gaps. Powered by Nextivity’s award-winning fourth-generation IntelliBoost chipset, the QUATRA 4000e ensures reliable and robust connectivity.
With up to 100dB gain per carrier signal, the solution delivers consistent, uninterrupted coverage for subscribers across all networks. Its flexibility makes it ideal for hospitals, schools, shopping malls, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, and other indoor environments requiring reliable cellular service.
“The CEL-FI QUATRA 4000e empowers South African businesses with scalable single, dual, or multi-carrier options tailored to their unique needs,” says Tobie van Schalkwyk, Business Unit Manager at Duxbury Networking. “It addresses coverage challenges in underserved markets, eliminating the complexity, cost, and delays typically associated with traditional DAS systems.”
The system supports up to six Coverage Units (CUs) per NU and integrates seamlessly with the CEL-FI WAVE PRO platform via a built-in cellular modem. It can operate off-air, connect to small cells, or function in distributed small cell mode to create a multi-carrier Supercell. This setup enhances coverage in large or densely populated spaces by providing uniform access to carrier capacity.
