Nextivity’s trade-in offer powers SA businesses with QUATRA 4000e

Johannesburg 7 May 2024 – Nextivity, available in South Africa through specialised distributor Duxbury Networking, has announced an innovative trade-in programme for the local channel where customers can exchange their existing CEL-FI QUATRA 1000/2000 devices for the cutting-edge QUATRA 4000e.

“Spotty cellular coverage, poor voice quality, dropped calls, and dead zones remain a significant challenge in the South African corporate environment,” says Tobie van Schalkwyk, Business Development Manager at Duxbury Networking. “The Nextivity CEL-FI QUATRA range is an Active Distributed Antenna System (DAS) Hybrid that has been designed to solve this problem. It is an affordable, all-digital solution to provide uniform, high-quality cellular signal throughout a building, and is scalable to the size needed. This has resulted in many businesses across industry sectors adopting the QUATRA 1000 and 2000 devices when they launched several years ago.”

The QUATRA 4000e is the latest advancement in Nextivity’s lineup. It has been developed to meet the ever-growing demand for reliable and expansive in-building cellular coverage. It supports up to four carriers simultaneously, compared to its predecessors, which could only handle one or two. This increased carrier support translates to a broader customer base and improved service levels for end-users.

“Additionally, unlike older analogue boosters that feature passive DAS technology, the QUATRA 4000e delivers a cellular signal that is up to a thousand times stronger. The system uses category cabling for radio frequencies and Power over Ethernet. There is no signal attenuation right to the perimeter of the building. It just makes business sense to move over to the QUATRA 4000e,” adds van Schalkwyk.

All versions of the QUATRA 1000 and 2000 devices currently deployed in the field are eligible to be traded in at a Duxbury channel partner. However, this opportunity is time-sensitive. There is a deadline set for December 31 this year.

“Choosing to upgrade to the Quatra 4000e is not just an upgrade in hardware. It is an investment in the future of connectivity for the organisation. The enhanced capabilities ensure that channel partners can offer the best possible service to their clients, securing their position in the market as providers of cutting-edge technology solutions while companies have the benefit of accessing the most advanced connectivity tools available in the market,” concludes van Schalkwyk.
